MATERIAL CULTURE
It can be said that the artistic creations of a people present glimpses into a time of old-world religions and customs long forgotten. The Aienla Project takes a comprehensive approach to preserving the material culture of the northeast Indian tribes by photographically documenting the artifacts and noting the meanings behind the patterns, colors, and carvings. The digital museum will have 360° rotational views of artifacts with the ability to zoom into artisan details.
